Toughie, I know. When I asked the team of Escentual HQ ladies they all said one thing… mascara. And believe it or not (I’m sure you’ll believe me) they’ve all tried hundreds and hundreds with no luck. But guess what? They have finally found happiness with the latest lash innovations from Shiseido, and I’m so excited to share them with you.

If you didn’t know already, Shiseido are well known for their Japanese heritage, over 140 years of it in fact. They’ve won countless awards and have pride of place position in many beauty editors’ makeup bags (including our very own, of course). So when we got wind of their new lash dream team, created specifically with straight, small lashes in mind, we knew we were on to a winner.

Now this little gem is your starting point. Simply coat your lashes and brows AM and PM with the Shiseido Full Lash Serum to maximise lash length whilst replenishing any damaged mini hairs. We’ve all been partial to a slight bit of mascara/curler lash damage, so this is definitely that extra bit of TLC we should add to our beauty routines.  The formula contains Chinese date, a natural ingredient that stimulates the growth of hair follicles, and 60% of users have noticed visibility denser lashes after 4 months – absolute must-have!

Shiseido Eyelash Curler

Go get it, curl

Custom built to fit even the straightest lashes, the flexible silicone pads of the Shiseido Eyelash Curler elevate your peepers to new heights, creating that gorgeous, wide eyed beauty look we all lust after. This tool deserves a lot more credit than it’s given (this is actually a Shiseido bestseller),  it’s a make-up bag must have if you’re running late. You can line the underside of the top bar to create the perfect eyeliner look and even gently warm up the curler to sustain a longer-lasting curl.

Make sure to pinch your lashes, and very gently rotate upwards for extra lift.  We’ve done the maths – simply hold at a 90 degree angle to capture full lashes, or if you’re feeling subtle, holding the curler at a 45 degree angle picks up your mid lashes. Count to 30 and that should do the trick!
